The look perfectly matches the look of the Toshiba Satellite laptop we purchased it for. As others have stated, be aware that it does require 2 USB ports to function (presumably 1 for data and 1 for power). However, since most laptops these days have a plethora of USB ports, this should not be a problem for most users. We'd highly recommend this external DVD drive. Comment: This small, versatile DVD and CD writer Does about every kind of disk-writing, including DVD-RAM, which is getting hard to find. I noticed that one store had a Toshiba unit similar to this which did not have DVD-RAM, and the price was not lower. So be sure you're getting a Toshiba PA3761U-1DV2 Portable/Slim USB SuperMulti DVD-Writer, with the DVD-RAM logo among those on it. This unit works quite well without an A/C adapter. It draws enough power through the USB cable that comes with it. I am thoughly pleased with this unit. It takes up very little space in my carry bag and does everything well. Customer Rating: Summary: A good buy for your money Comment: This external DVD drive was easy to use and is lightweight and portable. I am not very technically savvy and this DVD drive was a BREEZE to use. They must have corrected the issues with the serial number because it was listed in multiple places on the one I just purchased. My computer even detected it and installed the proper drivers without me ever having to open the disk that came with it. I highly recommend this device if you are looking for good value for the price and easy of use. It couldn't have been simpler. NECESSARY item for any Toshiba netbook owner as you need to run anti-viral software with any PC these days. I bought Norton 360 (for 3 PCs) and it's worth the investment, though it's a drag that it's only good for a year. What's up with that?
